Didactic

The National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria offers a wide range of educational programs aimed at both adults and children and dedicated to permanent collections as well as temporary exhibitions hosted in museum spaces.

It is intended for schools of all levels and for specific visitors on days that are to be announced, in the form of a single or multiple visits. The guided itineraries for educational purposes allow the deepening of specific cultural themes relating to the history and archaeology of Magna Graecia, with a special attention for disabled people.

The offer for schools is continually enriched by collaboration and new services, with the support of new technologies and in line with the latest pedagogical and scientific research.

Internships

The MArRC offers training for students, in order to guide them towards the different areas of their activities, integrating and deepening their theoretical preparation with practice in one of the most important museums of Magna Graecia.

The proposal is aimed at university students or enrolled in masters and specialization and higher education courses in disciplines related to cultural and historical-archaeological heritage and degree courses in cultural heritage, literature with historical artistic orientation, diagnostics and restoration, architecture, engineering , academy of fine arts, computer science, communication sciences, economics of cultural heritage, archiving, librarianship.

Many activities are carried out at the Museum in different areas of working: cataloging, data computerization, conservation and protection of collections, educational activities, reorganization of documentary and photographic archives, organization of temporary exhibitions.

This request precedes an orientation interview to be carried out at museum management.

The internship is organized by means of an agreement between the Italian institution and universities or through agreements with other foreign training institutions. Each intern is followed by a tutor for the entire duration of the internship.

The questions are accepted based on the curricular profile of the candidates and the requirements dictated by the cultural planning of the museum.
